Renting is an excellent way to see if our infrared paint removers will be effective for your projects
Our first question for you is, why do you want to rent?
Typically, people rent for a few reasons. First, they have a small project and need a unit for only a short period. (If this is your case, keep in mind that you’ll be responsible for all shipping charges.) Second, they’re unsure about the results and want the option to return the unit if they’re not satisfied. (If this is your case, you can choose the free shipping option, but note that if you send the unit back, you’ll be responsible for all shipping charges.)
Depending on your answer, we will send you a used unit or a new one.
HOW DO RENTALS WORK?
All rentals now use USED / GRADED UNITS. Rental units have been previously used, inspected, cleaned, tested, and confirmed to be fully functional.
1. ORDER A USED UNIT
To rent a unit, you must first order one of our Used / Graded Units. Click here to order a used unit.
The amount you pay for the used unit acts as your deposit during the rental period.
If you decide to keep the unit instead of returning it, there is nothing additional to pay for the unit. The amount you originally paid is the purchase price of the used unit, and the unit is yours to keep.
Need a Speedheater Standard 1100?
Cobra rentals are our most popular and are generally the units we keep available for rental. If you would like to rent a Speedheater Standard 1100 (SH1100) instead, please contact us directly to check availability before ordering.
2. UNDERSTANDING OUR USED / GRADED UNITS
Our used units are graded A, B, C, D, or F based on cosmetic appearance only. The grade does not indicate a difference in functionality or performance.
Every used unit is:
- Inspected and tested for proper operation
- Cleaned before shipment
- Fully functional and ready to use
- Covered by a 1-year warranty for homeowners
- Covered by a 6-month warranty for professional users
These are the same warranty periods provided with our new units.
Because these units have been previously used, they may show cosmetic signs of use. Although we clean every unit, some discoloration of the metal, spots, staining, or marks caused by heated/baked-on paint may remain. These cosmetic imperfections do not affect the unit’s operation or performance.
3. RENTAL PERIOD & DAILY RATE
Once you receive the unit, your rental “CLOCK” starts the day after delivery.
The rental cost is $35 per day, with a minimum rental period of 3 days.
The rental clock continues until the day you CALL US and tell us you are returning the unit. You must contact us to stop the rental clock. Simply shipping the unit back without contacting us does not stop the rental period.
After notifying us, repackage the unit according to the return instructions provided and ship it back to Eco-Strip.
4. RETURNING YOUR RENTAL
When your returned unit arrives at our warehouse, we will inspect it to confirm that it:
- Is functioning properly
- Has been reasonably cleaned
- Has been properly repackaged
- Has not been damaged or abused
Additional charges may apply if the unit is returned excessively dirty, damaged, abused, or requires additional cleaning or repairs.
5. YOUR REFUND
After the unit passes inspection, we will process your refund.
Your refund will be calculated as:
Amount paid for the used unit
– Rental charges ($35/day, 3-day minimum)
– Applicable shipping costs
– Any applicable cleaning or repair charges
= Your refund
If you decide you would rather keep the unit, simply let us know. The rental transaction will become a purchase of the used unit, and the used-unit price you originally paid will be the purchase price of the unit.
